Setting Up Lightspeed X with BRM

Initial Setup

In this article we're going to take you through 4 steps

• In LSX
  • setup a product and register
• In BRM    
  • connecting to your LSX
  • configuring (product / tax / register)
  • setting up LSX as your default payment provider

Configuration on Lightspeed

In this step, you'll need to set up a product and a register:

1. Products: The rental item you create must have infinite inventory to ensure availability.

2. Register: Set up your register and specify the tax rate you will charge (this will be tax-exclusive, meaning the tax is added on top of the rental price).

Now, on the BRM side

To begin using Lightspeed X with BRM you can connect your Lightspeed account by navigating to Settings > Integrations > Lightspeed X.

This will redirect you to the external page at Lightspeed Retail (X Series).

Once you successfully connect, you will be taken to Part 2: Configuration.

Finally, setup LSX as your payment provider in BRM

Go to the payment methods page and ensure you tick Lightspeed X

(you can also make it your default too, if that makes sense for your operation)
