Why Use This Integration?
There are several reasons you might want to integrate BRM with Lightspeed:
Streamline Operations: Manage all your transactions—both retail and rental—through one centralized system. BRM handles the rental workflows, while Lightspeed processes the payments.
Simplify Mixed Transactions: When a sale includes both retail items and rental services, this integration allows you to process everything on a single sales ticket.
Serve Existing Customers Efficiently: If a customer already exists in Lightspeed, you can seamlessly initiate a rental transaction in BRM without duplicate data entry. Customer information is transferred in real time.
How It Works
The integration is simple to set up. You'll add a button within your Lightspeed interface that links directly to BRM.
When you click the button (while processing a sale in Lightspeed), a BRM window will open in the same browser tab.
If a customer has already been selected in Lightspeed, their information will be automatically imported into BRM.
As a small visual detail, you’ll see the Lightspeed icon in the top-left corner of the BRM interface when accessed this way.
Once the reservation is created in BRM, simply click ‘Return & Pay’ to return to Lightspeed and complete the sale.
Note: If you choose not to use the ‘Return & Pay’ option right away, no problem—you can always link the transaction later using the Add Lightspeed Transaction workflow.
Once you're back in Lightspeed, simply complete the transaction in your register as usual.
