Setting up Add-Ons (Reservation Level Extras)

Add-Ons (Reservation Level Extras) are slightly different from Extras in the following ways:

  1. they are applied to the entire reservation - not an item within the reservation
  2. you can define the price of the extra when you apply it - unlike Item Level Extras which have set prices.

here is the icon for Add-Ons that your customers will see when booking:

This means the setup has another step, where you define which prices can apply for your Extras.

How to set up your Add-Ons (Reservation Level Extras)

You will see two tabs on the Extras List Panel.  Pick the Reservation Level Extras tab.

settings > general > extras

Once you have selected the Add Ons tab you will see a list of your Add Ons.

Pick one or add one and you will see the detail page:

enabled you will see some differences:

  1. the level of the extra (Item-Extra or Reservation-Add On)
  2. Sub Type.  Note - some special cases exist for Add Ons:
    1. Regular (used to be called Inventory)
    2. Virtual (same as regular but in theory for virtual things like insurance)
    3. special cases with specific behaviour:
      1. Gratuity (see here)
      2. Booking Fee (see here)
  3. Pricing (free, fixed price or % based)
  4. Additional 'Free Form Entry' selector:
