Organising the services you provide into Offerings
BRM is becoming Bike Reservation Manager
NEW - November 2024
You can now start to define Service Offerings to control two things on BRM.
The organisation and the behaviour of the things you take reservations for.
Let's just say you offer Bike Rental, Ski Rental and Repair and Maintenance of customers' bikes.
You would setup 3 Service Offerings
- Bike Rental (Rental service)
- Ski Rental and (Rental service)
- Repair and Maintenance (Repair service)
this image shows that Service Offerings provide both organisation of your inventory and differing behaviour
Why would you want to do this?
By organising your inventory into distinct Service Offerings you gain the following advantages.
Segregating your business (organisation)
You can now browse your inventory by Service Offering, where previously you had to mix, for example, Ski and Bike.
Your customers will also be able to find what you're selling much more easily on the Customer Booking Portal.
Finally - the reservations you make will be organised by Service Offering
Customised behaviour (functionality)
You can now get BRM to behave differently based on the Service you're providing.
For example, you may want to provide different rental waivers for Ski and Bike.
You may want to provide different communication templates for Rental and Repair.
You may even want to provide different workflows in the back office for Rental and Repair
Is all of this ready?
No, but we have started to roll it out now (November '24)
BRM is evolving from Bike Rent Manager into Bike Reservation Manager.
Meaning we will handle all kinds of reservation for the bike industry.
We have begun by putting in place the ability to organise your inventory and will be rolling out subsequent improvements to functionality over the coming months according to this plan.
