Service Offerings and Inventory

Organising your inventory by Service Offering

BRM is evolving into Bike Reservation Manager.  This means we're supporting all kinds of Reservation.  These different kinds of reservation are known as Service Offerings. (see overview here)

In order to do this we need to organise your inventory into these logical groups based on the services you offer.

In the image above you can see that in the selector panel on the right we're looking at the Bike Rental Service Offering

When you arrive on the 'Manage inventory' page you will now be viewing your inventory by Service Offering.

You can change the active Service Offering by using the dropdown - highlighted above.

Changing your Service Offering will mean two things:

1. you will only view inventory currently assigned to that Service Offering
2. when you create new inventory they will automatically be assigned to that Service Offering

Changing a Category's Service Offering(s)

Categories are assigned to a Service Offerings (one or more), meaning all inventory in that category also belongs to that Service Offering.

When you open a Category you will see the Service Offering at the top of the page.

To move a Category between Service Offering, simply change the drop down.

The top of the Category page now includes the service offering to which it belongs

If you want to you can make a category belong to more than one service offering, simply tick all the checkboxes that apply:
