Adding physical Items to your inventory

Created by Doug Stoddart, Modified on Fri, 29 Nov at 5:44 PM by Doug Stoddart

In the overview we explored the two types of inventory, structural and physical.

This article is about actually adding physical items to your inventory.

First, we can start by creating the Structural inventory:

(In this example we used Quick Add to create the top 4 levels of our hierarchy, including the number of items you specified)

What if you want to modify the quantity of items - perhaps you buy some more?

We want to set our Quantity - what is our capacity for this Product Line?

we click it up to 4 because we have 4x Mediums of this product:

We can decorate our inventory with pictures and descriptions and sizing recommendations to make it easier for our customers to find the product they want when booking online.

Finally, when we're ready we tell the system about actual physical items in our inventory:

Click on the blue + button (to the right of the Quantity)  (see 2 in image above)

When you have hit Create it will add 4 rows of physical items to your inventory.

You will note they all share the same size.

Give them each a unique name.  In the example above I have already named R1 and R2 and I'm about to name the third one.

you're all set!
