I'd like to have the check-in button, broken button, and reservation notes on there at all times, so we can check-in individual assets during group reservations. I notice when you use the check-in button the status seems to update, but it doesn't show the update on the screen. (ie. the status stays at "OUT" when I have clicked the check-in button)

Yeah, we noticed that, too. It seems to be a mistake.
