Procedure of an online booking / payment

  Hello everybody,

I have some questions for you.

1. how much deposit do you take for online bookings? (we take 20%)
Two. Or do you want the full amount?
3. if you only take a deposit what do you do if the customer does not come or does not pick up the bike / bikes?

What do you think if there would be the following procedure?
Customer books today 5 bicycles (150€) with deposit e.g. 20% (30€). In the booking confirmation you will be informed that you want to pay the remaining amount one week before the rental date.  14 days before, the customer should receive a reminder email if he has not yet paid the balance (automated email). This is how travel companies have been doing it successfully for years.
